Who the heck is Trisha Lurie anyway?
I took my first breath of fresh air on Saint Patrick’s Day, under the piscean moon and yes, I love the color green but not as much as I like the color black.
You could say that I am an artist to the core of my being, in fact, it just may be the only thing that makes sense to me.
Born and raised in southern California with a family of fine artists, poets, actors, and musicians, who encouraged me to be dedicated to a life in the arts. This led me to who I am now, full time  musician, artist, actor and professional model. I spend a majority of my life deep in the creative zone dedicated to the different mediums of my artistic endeavors.
Above all I am a single mother of a beautiful 8 year old boy and doing my best to be a solid parent and a full time artist.
Here is a little run down of the ever growing Trisha Lurie Project.

As a Musician, I am a singer, songwriter and guitarist about to release my debut solo album titled Romancing Neptune and other collaborations with fellow musicians. At the moment I am currently working full time on my music, recording, playing shows and also working with producers on developing music for tv and film. I am determined to make meaningful, substantial music that will transcend my blink on earth. Music is the centering strength, from which all my art mediums find energy and momentum. You could call my style of music, bluesy rock with a touch of grungy rawness. Lyrics are incredibly important to me, I write from the heart and soul focusing on the ups and downs of love, loss, life and society.

I’ve been a professional artist by trade since 1997 and still lat it. I work with a couple different styles and in many mediums, anything from modern fine art to graffiti art. I use mediums such as pen and ink, acrylic, oils and spray paint. Lately I’ve been painting Guitars, Cabinets, Amps,  as well as the typical Canvas, Wood panel.

I have also done extensive Graphic and Fine Art for various companies Internationally. Earlier in my art career I worked extensively in the Surf/Skate industry, doing graphics on boards, fabric, murals and clothing lines.
Speaking of clothing lines, I created my own American made, organic tee-shirt line under my company LURIE LURIE and now in the development of new brand “ROMANCING NEPTUNE”. Basically, I’m taking the band merchandise idea to new levels, creating a multi facetted brand mixing music with art. You can see my art on my blog http://trishalurie.wordpress.com

 As a Professional Model, I specialize in art, fashion, sport, commercial, editorial and glamour. I’ve been published with extensive editorial spreads in national and international magazines including Maxim, Esquire, BPM, Surfing, Surfer, Inked, Playboy, Tattoo, The List, Guitar World, Harley Davidson, etc. I’ve also done many print campaigns for specialized publications featuring surfing, high fashion, jewelry, rock & roll fashion, modern art and contemporary fashion. I have also participated in numerous events, runway shows, calendars, catalogs, websites, etc.

To be honest I became interested in modeling because I love photography and knew that in the event I ever became a successful musician, the skill would come in handy. I didn’t expect to do it this long and actually make a side job out of it, isn’t life strange.

As far as the acting goes I started dabbling in theater as a child and fell in love with acting and performing however, acting was a secret, back burner desire at that time. In high school I became immersed in surfing competitively and thus moved to Hawaii, only to be drawn back into the art, making my living as an artist. After a few years I moved back to LA and soon found myself back in the groove of working in the Film and TV industry (in front and behind the camera). I’ve principled in quite a number of notable music videos indie films, pilots and commercials as well as playing leading rolls and supporting rolls in a growing number of indie feature films. Most recently I was featured playing guitar on the Price Is Right.

When I am out of the studio and off camera, my time is spent with my beautiful son, surfing and traveling as much as possible. As a single mother, I am determined to give him a healthy and happy life. Which is why I am involved in many environmental issues and causes as well as living as “green” as possible. I am a devout surfer and clean ocean enthusiast. I would say that I am pretty dedicated to personal strength, health and inner peace as well as the state of the environment.

A life of adventure and learning new culture has formed who I am today and I will continue to explore this planet. Besides following my dreams, my life goals are to be a good example for my son and a positive, creative, loving, generous, strong woman. I am dedicated to preserving the nature of this planet and sharing love not hate.
